The MARCSSDK is a project currently underway to encapsulate commonly needed and often repeated code. Further, it uses design patterns familiar to the .NET Framework and incorporates all recommended best practices.

Much of the MARCS SDK replaces code available in Microsoft Application Blocks, now known as the Microsoft Enterprise Library. However, MARCS SDK seeks to make configuration and usage much simpler by leaving out features that are rarely used and focusing more on performance and small assembly size.
